Carpet Court Te Awamutu promotes better Dressage >>

Carpet Court Te Awamutu is providing an inovative sponsorship package to promote better dressage performance at the Mitavite International Horse Trial at Kihikihi. The sponsorship package is applicable to FEI CIC Two Star, Wade Open Intermediate, all Novice and Pre-Novice divisions. After the show jumping phase, the best dressage score in each ring will be identified from those competitors who actually complete the event and the rider with the best dressage score will receive a cheque for $100 from Carpet Court to be awarded at the prize-giving ceremony.

The sponsorship is intended to promote and reward excellence in dressage, the phase which is often regarded as a weakness in New Zealand Eventing.

Carpet Court is New Zealand's biggest flooring retailer and fittingly its motto is "You'll Love the Look" which is exactly what they want to see in the dressage arena. Yvonne Dossiter, Dressage Convener at the Mitavite International Horse Trial and the brainchild behind the innovative sponsorship hopes the bonus will act as an incentive for riders to lift the bar with their dressage. "It would be great to see improvements in the dressage across so many levels of competition, so we are thrilled that the cash bonus from Carpet Court will be offered to riders from FEI Two Star through to Pre Novice levels" said Yvonne.
