Interislander looks forward to becoming involved in the Mitavite International Horse Trial. The Interislander sponsorship will sponsor travel vouchers which can be redeemed with any booking through Faye Allison, the Sales Support Manager for Interislander.

The Mitavite International Horse Trial features the sole New Zealand Qualifier in the HSBC FEI World Cup™ Eventing Series which boasts a prize-pool to match its international status and creates an event that riders throughout New Zealand want to attend, including those based in the South Island. The addition of the Interislander sponsorship makes this event even more desirable for those who need to travel across Cook Straight for top level competition, as the cost of taking horses across Cook Strait is quite a cost barrier for many.

Any sponsorship which facilitates this interisland travel will be much appreciated by all the competitors. It encourages South Island riders to take the trip north to Kihikihi and keep the North Island riders on their toes.

Chairman Bruce Bason said the event organisers are delighted that Interislander has come on board at Kihikihi. “Interislander makes a valuable addition to our family of sponsors. We hope that Interislander representatives will be in attendance to enjoy the exciting equestrian action and corporate networking that the event provides”.

Interislander has already established strong sponsorship links with Equestrian Sports New Zealand where ESNZ members can use their membership to gain reduced travel expenses through Interislander. These discounts are another way to help riders to meet the cost of travelling between the islands for competitions, which makes it a win for competitors in both the North and South Islands.
